Inquiry Based Essay Reflection

The audience of my paper would have to be those people that feel like social media is bad because that is the main idea of social media. They will see with my essay that social media is not all bad and that it is also good and bad at the same time. The language and tone that I use while writing my essay would be informative and neutral. I say this because here I’m stating facts and I’m not debating and telling the readers to choose a specific side. I assume that the people that read this essay have an idea on what social media is and maybe they know some sort of teenager. This essay will inform them that social media may have some bad or good effects on that teenager that they might know or maybe anyone else.

Also to be honest most of these facts I already knew because I can relate to this topic and from experiences in my life like for friends or family. I admit there could have been more interesting facts but I feel like these are the main ideas of the effects of social media either good or bad. These facts are what people think about when thinking about social media and its effectiveness on teenagers. It wasn’t really hard writing this essay because I am one of those teenagers growing up with social media. I sometimes go through the stuff that I have written and this gives me an idea that I am not the only one. There are more kids out there that are going through the same thing.

The process of writing this was easy. I first had to plan out what topic to choose and what specifically would it would on. Then I had to think about who to target with this topic and the audience. What my tone and language would be to connect to the rest of my essay. I had to find a way to connect everything so that it would make sense.
